Today, I went to school around 7:15 or 7:30.When I got into the school campus I saw my friends playing with the jump rope. I joined in the game and started jumping with them. I was the only one who did not touch the jump rope.

Then we went to class and took out everything that I needed to give to the teacher and some things I needed for class. Then I gave my home work to the teacher and took out the math note book, text book, assignment book and my pencil case. I started to read a novel that I took out of my desk. The book was called “THE DAIRY OF A WIMPY KID”. It is a very good book; you might like reading the book.

Then the teacher said to stop reading and come and play the math game before we start math. I was so into the book I only heard MATH GAME. Every time it is my turn I let the other person win on purpose so I can read the book. So the math game finished and now it is time for math. We line up and then go to the “math room”. We go to another room because there are two classes and one stays in home room and the other one goes to a different room. One class is 4th grade and the other is 5th grade. I call the room the math room because we do math there all the time. When we got there and the teacher’s assistant (he teaches math) starts to teach, one kid starts talking and then the teacher tells him to shut his mouth, and then keeps on teaching. Then he told us to start working. While working the other kids started talking to each other, but I concentrated on my work. I was the only one who finished that day. When math was over we went up stairs to the home room and put our math stuff away.

Then our teacher said “it is time for language arts, take out your grammar books and go to the page that is written on the board”. The 4th graders do language arts with the 5th graders. The teacher explained how to do the work and what the lesson was about. Then she said, ”you may start”. When I finished it was time for recess.

The whole class lined up and we where on our way. When we got to the playground we took the soccer ball to the soccer field. We played the soccer game called MPGOAL. In this game everyone plays for themselves. The person that scores the most goals is the winner. Normally it is me who wins. When recess was over everyone lined up and went back to home room. We play this game at lunch too.

When we got back to home room it was time for French class. So we got ready to go to the French room. We lined up again and went. When we got to French the teacher was already writing on the board. When French was finished we went to home room and took our lunches and lined up to go to lunch. When lunch was over we went to IT then we went Home.

Great Granny Girdle and Boxer Boy (George’s great-grandmother and Harold’s grandfather) are made super-heroes when they drink the super power juice and they defeat Captain Blunderpants. Sulu is shrunk and turned good again and Captain Blunderpants and the Evil George and Harold ( now shrunken and are taken back to their world.

Harold once again states that nothing can go wrong, but this causes police men to arrest them because they think they are the evil George and Harold, who robbed a bank while Captain Underpants was fighting Sulu. Harold again states that things cannot get any worse because they are going to jail for the rest of their lives. This time, however, Tippy Tinkletrousers (Professor Poopypants who changed his name at the end of the fourth book) comes and chases George and Harold. The book ends, once again, with George yelling “Oh no!” and Harold yelling “Here we go again!”

Well, this morning was a very, very windy morning. I opened my folder on the front porch just long enough to check for my milk money. Suddenly–PUFF!–a gust of wind blew my homework away! I chased my homework down the street. I didn’t want to think about what Ms. Bear might do if I lost it. So I ran as fast as I could. The wind tossed my homework right over a high fence. I peeked through a hole in the fence and saw hundreds of workers building a skyscraper. And there, on top of a pile of pipes, was my homework. I squeezed under the fence just in time to see a crane lifting the pipes–and my homework–all the way up to the thirteenth floor ! I ran to the elevator.”Hurry!” I yelled to a workman. “I have to get to the thirteenth floor!” “Now, sonny,” the worker said, “kids aren’t allowed around here.” “But you don’t understand,” I shouted. “My homework blew up there. My teacher is Ms. Bear, and if I–” The man stopped in his tracks. “Did you say Ms. Bear? The Ms. Bear? Here, sonny, take a hard hat. Hop in the elevator.” Up, up, up we went to the thirteenth floor.

We got there just in time to see another workman kick my homework off a beam. The wind blew it over the river, where it landed softly on a huge boat going by. Now I was in real trouble. “I’ve got to get down to that boat!” I cried, and the elevator went down as fast as it could go. A policeman was directing traffic nearby. “Please help me,” I panted. “My homework … the boat … Ms. Bear!”

“Ms. Bear?” the policeman shouted. “Jumpin’ catfish! Hold on; I’ll help.” He blew so hard on his whistle that the boat stopped right in the water. “Thanks!” I cried, running to the edge of the river. There I borrowed a rowboat and row-row-rowed out to the big boat. “Captain,” I said to the tall man on board, “I lost my homework somewhere on this ship. If I don’t get it back, Ms. Bear is gonna–” “Ms. Bear? Yikes ! Let’s get going!” said the captain. But then the pirates came on board. “We’re taking over this here ship, matey !” growled the head pirate, an ugly man with one wooden leg. “Not before I find my homework you don’t!” I shouted. “My teacher is Ms. Bear!” “Sharks alive!” said the pirate, shuddering. “Is she here?” The pirates ran inside the ship’s jail and locked the doors up tight.

Suddenly there came a loud POW! My homework blew out of the smokestack high into the air. A huge sea gull flew by, snatched it in its beak, and disappeared with it. I could do nothing more. I rowed back to shore and then walked toward school, depressed and tired. Ms. Bear is going to eat me alive, and no one will ever see me again, I thought. On the way, I had to pass my house, so I stopped in for a drink–probably my last! I went out in the backyard to say goodbye to my dog, and there, right on the lawn, was my homework! The sea gull must have wanted to avoid Ms. Bear, too. I was overjoyed I ran out to grab the paper–but so did Barker. He thought I wanted to play.

He chewed on it and shook it and stepped on it and then chewed it some more. “No, Barker, no!” I cried. “That’s my homework! Bad dog! Put it down!” But Barker didn’t understand. He jumped and tore it until he had turned it into tiny little soggy bits. And then he dog-laughed and wagged his tail. He thought we were playing a game. So now I’m on my way to school. I’m two hours late, and I don’t have my homework. I guess I’ll just have to tell Ms. Bear the truth–my dog ate my homework.

On a Sunday afternoon June 14, 2009 a bunch of my church family piled into a large troop transport type truck and headed for Bingerville about 30 minutes outside of Abidjan. Our mission was to fulfill the great commission. Matthew 28:18-20 – 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Statement of faith

Gospel For Africa has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s Agape love, which is greater than any differences we possess and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

We believe worship of God should be spiritual. Therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.

We believe worship of God should be inspirational. Therefore, we give great place to music in our worship.

We believe worship of God should be intelligent. Therefore, our ministry is designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshipped.

We believe worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have truly been worshipping Him.

We believe in all the basic doctrines of historic Christianity.

We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, that the Bible, Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God.

We believe that God is eternally existent in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God is the personal, transcendent, and sovereign Creator of all things.

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the atonement of our sins by His substitutionary death on the cross, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended back to the right hand of the Father, and ever lives to make intercession for us.

We believe in the personal, visible, and pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ to the earth. He will return with His saints and set up a kingdom of which there will be no end.

We believe that after Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit on the believers in Jerusalem, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.

We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord.

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today. We as believers are to covet the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love that the whole Body of Christ might be edified. We believe that love is more important than the most spectacular gifts, and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless.

Get Eternal life

Please consider how much God Loves you.Consider that the awesome, omnipotent, omnipresent, preexistent, merciful, kind and just God is calling your name. He invites you, right now, to repent of your sins. He wants you to believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins. The truth is, all your sins are already forgiven in Jesus Christ. Recognize this now. Receive Jesus Christ. Trust in Him alone as your Savior and Lord. Read this prayer first, so you will know what you are talking to God about. Then get on your knees, bowing before a holy loving God, and pray this prayer with all your heart.

Pray:
Father God, I am a sinner. I have broken your laws and commandments. I need your forgiveness. I turn away from my sins now and turn to you. Please forgive me. I do believe that Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe He came from heaven to earth to become a man. I believe He lived a sinless life, and died on the cross. I believe He did all this because He loves me, and wants me to be with Him forever. I also believe that You raised Jesus from the dead on the third day, and that He went back to heaven, where he waits for me.

Father God, forgive me. Cleanse me and make me new. Jesus, come into my heart right now. Be my Savior and Lord forever. I give you my entire life. I will follow you forever.

In Jesus Name, I pray.Amen.
